OK Guys, so here's the thing!

    Replacing my 32" CRT, Sky+ & Sony DAVS300 5.1 surround system with:

Pioneer 435 Plasma (with tuner box) - arrived
    Sky+ (remains!)
    Denon DVD2910 - on order

I had decided on the Yamaha DSP757 (€699 locally) until I found the 2500 for €768 via the UK :smashin: It's overkill for what I want today (70/30 HT/Sounds), but is fairly future proof!!

I was hoping someone could advise of the best speakers with the Yamaha. I want the wall mounts (á la MS Genie/Kef Egg) - missus insists on wall mounts y'see! But am unsure of how they will suit. I'd heard that Paradigm were best suited with the Yammies...

Any advice of setup would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Will

Have you considered the Kef KHT 5000/6000. May be more suited to the power of the Yammy and IMO kefs are well suited to the 'laid back',warm sound of the 2500. Good idea to try and demo first though

Thanks Skinny - the 5005 are too expensive for me - around €1,500 - I was looking for something in the 600-800 Euro range, but obviously need something to match the Receiver.

    Cheers,

Always a bummer when kit is out of budget range

That being the case I guess it looks like Kef eggs/MS genie/Mission cubes etc. Still nothing wrong with that though, as I said try to demo first and pref. via a Yammy

    Will,

I have the Yamaha 1500 driving the canton cd2.22 set - absolutely awesome, & with my PV500 it rocks

You can get this set on the speaker forums through Jake James as a powerbuy, which should be within your budget, and damn good service from Jake to boot...

    Hope this helps,
    Mark.
