:( My Panasonic digibox has finally totally seized which I suspect is due to the Panasonic overheating problem. :(

    I have several choices.

    1. Buy a Sky+ box for £160 from simply satellite but I believe that I will need to upgrade my package to be able to record anything (am I right) and certainly to watch one thing & record another. As I have only a broken digibox multiroom has no appeal whatsoever! The cheapest £30+ package with family pack is £33 rather than the £19 that I currently pay Sky+ will cost me £164 per year which is silly.

    2. Buy a reconditioned receiver from sky for approx £60 but I have heard bad things about these reconditioned boxes

    3. Buy a new digibox - Pace DS430N from simply for £107.

    4. Get mine repaired but I suspect that a new processor board will be as expensive as a new receiver. How much would such a repair cost?

I would welcome any comments on the above alternatives as I know a few Panasonic - & other - users have had to face this problem before.
