Think I posted in wrong forum - HiFi Separates.

Current system is Audiolab 8000S (Old series), Marantz 6000 KI with KEF Q55.2 Floorstanders. I am reasonably happy but want to get a tighter, more detailed accurate sound. I have tried a Cyrus 6 CD Player and in all honesty there was maybe a slight difference, I did expect a big difference after reading all the top reviews for the CD player. So I guess the limiting factor must be the speakers. I have listened to all kinds of speakers like many of you on here and I was looking to pay around £600 for either new or second hand. Room is 13ft X 14ft.
    Listened to the obvious ones

Kef iQ5 - not impressed very thin
Monitor Audio RS6 - nice but didn't seem that precise
Monitor Audio RS1 - Excellent detail too small for me
    B &W 602 S3 - Excellent sound for the money

    All suggestions/advice welcome
Would something like the EPOS 12.2 match the system or Quad 12L

By the way just tried some CAT5 cables ( replaced my QED Silver Anniversary) and I must say I am very impressed with the detail and sound.
