I need to buy a new Neutrik connector and Speakon speaker cables for my Rel Q150E subwoofer. I've found some sold at Maplins but not sure if they're any good. Does anyone know where I can get a good set of these for my subwoofer?

    Thanks.

If I recall when I had my rel, you can buy these from any hifi store, Sevenoaks used to be able to order them in. You must be able to get them from the internet easily. Having said that, the Maplins ones are probably just as good. The one that came with my rel did not look anything special, likewise the one I ordered for a mj acoustics sub I bought. They just look a standard item, though I may be corrected!

    I've purchased my Neutrik connector.

What about the "Hi Level fequencies" Speakon cable(s) that conenct the amp to the Neutrik? Can anyone suggest a specification or know where I can get some good cables for this?

    Thanks.

The lovely Mr Mark Grant has just made me some subwoofer cable with a Neutrik adapter for my (arriving any day now) XLS200. I expect he can do you something for your Rel too. Head over to the Power buys section of the Cables & Cabling forum...

Can I use some spare speaker cable to make up my own high level cable i.e. add a speakon connector at one end and some 'spades' at the other?

Yup, I vaguely remember that the Rels don't use the conventional pins in the connectors though.
