Replacement motorised poitioner needed

    need to replace my old pace508i and phillips d2mac decoder as a result of an insurance claim, only problem is i am lost to which model to go for any help?

    The Pace MSS508 was an analogue satellite receiver ; you will have to replace it with a digital one (or a combined analogie/digital STB) . You need one of the few digital satellite receivers that has true 36 volt actuator drive.
    Manhattan , Topfield and Technomate spring to mind here.
    Echostar used to have some as well (but not heard much of them lately).

    The other (poorer) alternative is to get a standard digital STB with DiSEqC motor control plus a VBox converter that converts DiSEqC commands into the correct drive voltages for a 36 volt actuator.
