As you don't know. Do you have the necessary test equipment to align it?

Spooksta, have you contacted Philips on the subject. I appreciate the DVDR1000 is over 2 years old (I had one myself!) but there CS can fairly sympathetic. I'll shut up now because I have just said something good about Philips! :eek:

:) No that's fair enough - as others have noticed a willingness within Philips's CS 'section' to be flexible about repairing the gross manufacturing errors on the early machines.

Although seemingly a little out-of-date, this (here) appears to be the approach worth trying... even with a machine over 2 years old.
