Can anyone suggest CD players to demo to replace a Cambridge Audio CD4 SE.

To be used with an Arcam A80 and Dynaudio Contours 1.3mk2.

Happy to pay around £500 for something that sounds significantly better.

Recently demoed an Arcam CD93T and was very disappointed with the performance for the price.
(Possibly because expectations were pretty high, and I really wanted to buy it :( )

    - The CD4SE is certainly a idiosyncratic sounding unit and won't be easy to replace. One that might get the job done is the newish Exposure 2010s which hurts the budget at £600 but if the CD4SE still works, Cambridge might be interested in buying it.......
