Dear Forum,
As a technology enthusiast, I am wondering whether it is worth replacing my OLED TV LG 55EC930 from 2014 with an OLED of the current generation 2021.
I'm eyeing the Sony XR-65A90j. 4K and HDR in particular are of course an added value of the current TV generation.
So far, I watched movies/football/handball via TV channels, but I also have Sky and Netflix, so HDR could/would come into play.
But one question in particular excites me:
Has technology and picture quality improved since 2014 to the point where even SDR actually shows appreciable OPTICAL benefits?
I hope my question can be answered here, I suspect there is one or two "frequent buyers" on the forum here who can spot the development in their purchases.
Thanks in advance,
Wadde
