I've just bought the Mission fs2 AV speaker package which comes with 45m of flat, unshielded, speaker cable. Knowing the importance of cables in other areas of AV, I have to ask: Should I replace the cable with something better, shielded perhaps?

    Cheers, Steve.

general rule is to replace the freebie cable, but i dont know what exactly the cable you have is....... but if you have 45 meters of it..... it couldnt be that good!

shieleded speaker cable isnt the normal way to go about it..... shielding is a bit wasted. Have a search on the general hardware forum and there is a load of info on cables.
