I'm about to send my XBox360 back to MS. They have said to send the console only (no hard disk, accessories, cable, original box) but I'm not sure what to do about the faceplate.

Should I include it or not?

    What have you guys done?

    Cheers,

    Nigel

yes, include the standard white faceplate..why wouldnt you?,it was part of the console, when you bought it.
the only things you dont send are hard drive, cables, controller, power supply, and mic.

    Thanks,

That's what I would have thought really.

Just that I had seen a couple of posts saying that they didn't send the faceplate and another saying that he did but the one returned didn't have one.

I think I'll send the faceplate as it seems the most reasonable thing to do.

    Thanks,

    Nigel

What you want to watch out for is when you send them a premium with nice chrome disc draw then they send you a Core Unit back.

    What to do?

I have it boxed up to drop of at UPS tomorrow on the way home from work.

Thanks for the heads up on the disk drawer - hadn't noticed that before and wouldn't have checked it. Added it to the covering letter though I doubt anyone will actually read it.

So as I've got to open the box up to put the updated letter in do I take off the faceplate - decisions, decisions!

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Do you have to send the original box as well?

I just sent mine back last week, the Returns guy said NOT to send face plate and NOT to use the origional box as they couldn't garauntee return of either.

Plain Brown box with good packing and remove anything that isn't screwed onto the console is all that is required

I removed my hard drive but left the faceplate on and just sent the console in a none discript box.

UPS delivered a package the other day containing a brand new console - hard drive but disc drawer was correct and faceplate was present
