Renting a plasma ?

    Not that I can't afford one, I'm just concerned that splashing out on something today with such a high cost will be out of date within about 3 months and especially considering the fast pace of manufacturers and the improvements to plasma technology and aesthetics.

    Has anyone considered renting a plasma for home use or actually done so ?

    The link here is for Forbes who rent Plasma's - in particular the Philips sets. They look quite expensive though compared to buying. First year rental costs for the 32PF9964 would be £1820.

    at those prices I could buy and replace every two years and still be quids in !
