    Hi all,

    Does anyone know of a way to change the label for "My Computer" in the speaker list when using AirTunes?

    I presumed it was picking up the label from my actual computer name (set in properties of My Computer), but alas no.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks.

    iTunes > Edit > Preferences > General Tab

    There you can change the library name.

    Hi Trailer,

    Thanks for your reply, however the library name
    change does not seem to change the 'Computer' label.

    It uses this name when I use the remote app on an iTouch / iPhone.

    How are you using AirTunes?

    With Remote on my iPhone.

    When Remote connects it says "Connecting to Library Living Room", but the speaker choices are "My Computer" and "Conservatory" (the AX).

    Renamed library and rebooted everything, but still labelled as "My Computer" in Remote and iTunes itself.

    Ah OK, got you now.

    I'm not sure if there is a way to rename that to be honest unless someone else knows?

    It can be changed in these files, for US and GB English:

    "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\en.lproj\Localizable.strings"

    or

    "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\en_GB.lproj\Localizable.strings"

    Find and edit these lines:

    "163.034" = "Computer";
    "163.035" = "My Computer";

    ------

    163.034 is shown in the iTunes UI drop down list
    163.035 is shown in the speaker list in Remote.app on iPhone OS
