remove hair dye from leather?

    just found out the mrs little sister has got 2 big blobs of black hair dye onto our brand new white leather corner unit :eek:

    anyone know of anything to get it off? or is it stuffed?

    Don't think you stand much chance or getting it out without damaging the leather.

    Got accidental damage cover on your insurance?

    nope :(

    didnt think it would come out to be honest, mrs mum says try a leather repair kit with an ink remover but pretty sure ink and perm hair dye are 2 different things all together!

    If it's just stained the surface it might come off, if it's got through to the leather underneath then it will have bound to the protein in the leather and it's there for good (I would guess). You may be able to bleach it but I fear that would damage the structure of the leather. Tongue somewhat in cheek, have you considered the dalmation effect rather than fulll black?

    nail varnish remover works with make up hair dye etc my sisters little girl is now known as banshee because she so naughty and when you tell her off she screams and her long hair stands on end lol :thumbsup:
