Remove app from one device, install on another?

On my old iPod Touch I have a dictionary app and a matching thesaurus app but hardly use them now. I've not got an iPad Air2 and am using the same AppleID for this device.

If I remove the 2 apps from the iPod, will it then allow me to install them on the iPad? Or is it dependent on the add providers?

The two apps on your iPod will be registered to your AppleID. I suggest you look at the app store on your iPad and select iPhone only apps. Your apps should be there to download.
