    Hi Guys

Im looking for a Remote COmmander to control all of my existing kit. Im happy to pay alot of money for it and i need it to learn, do macros, and feel nice in the hand :)

    Does anyone have any recommendations.

I use an epilot from maplin, although Richersounds do a cambridge audio one which is identical. Touch screen, backlit & can do macros. You do however need the original remote inorder to teach this remote.

Try in the remote controls section for more advice on Pronto's etc

I've had a 940 pronto for the last 3/4 years, its ace, but you need to hook it up to your pc for anything other than basic programming on it. If you have plenty of cash I'd go for one of the colour ones or even the tablet one.

Agreed - the prontos are great. I took a good few hours to set up mine on the PC (partially because I wanted some silly flashy graphics) but once it's done it's fantastic. My model is the RU950.

By the way some good resources are:

www.remotecentral.com (handy for graphics and setup files etc.)

www.letsautomate.com which do good prices for remotes - 200 for the RU950 or 550 if you want a colour 970. Make sure you buy the optional docking station on all models though.
