    Hi all

I just had an Broadband upgrade today along with a new Superhub from 20 to 50mps, and was just wondering is there any reliable speed checks on the net to have a rough idea of my net speed. or is there another method I can use ?

    thanks very much

The only issue I find with Speedtest is it (by default) picks a server on the Virgin network so whilst it shows your connection speed it doesn't necessarily show how good it is to the outside world.

Having said that most of the time connect speed is limited by a number of things including Virgin's internal transparent cache servers being overloaded.

Unlike ASDL\Infinity you don't get any degradation in speed due to distance from exchange\street box
