Firstly, appologies if this has been asked before (or is indeed obvious)...couldn't find anything via the search. If it has, please point me in the right direction. Why do film studios stagger their cinema release dates, i.e. USA release then six months later here in the UK etc. Surely if they were all released at the same time, DVDs could also get world wide releases at the same time. No need for region coding or RCE which must add to the overall cost. Just a thought, can't remember ever hearing or reading the reasoning behind it.
