I've recently bought a REL R-205 which I'm using only for movies and have it connected via the .1 LFE input. Overall I am very happy with the performance, supplements my Mission 752 Freedoms very well with tight, low, non boomy bass, but the instruction maual suggests having the Speakon high level inputs connected as well as the .1 LFE for the best integration. Does anyone out there have one set up like this and is there any improvement over just using the .1 LFE input. As I say, I'm only using it for movies and I've heard the Speakon connection is only really necessary for music which isn't important to me. Thanks.

If it's only for movies then stick with the low level connection only.

The high level connection is useful for allowing you to use the subwoofer in a dedicated stereo system as well as an AV system. I have my REL Stentor 3 connected with both so that when I am using my stereo only equipment I can still use the subwofoofer to augment my PMC OB1s.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll leave it as it is then.
