Rel Quake - Torn driver

I've noticed that the inner ring of my driver is torn in half which doesnt look good to me (sorry for my lack of technical terminology but this is out of my area of expertise.

I have the below subwoofer and what is torn is the dark grey ring between the cone and the plastic ring with screws in it.

It has always done a great job for me and I wonder if I should have it repaired or if its simply time to replace it.
(In which case I wonder if I should replace it with the new Rel Quake or another brand/model)

Thank you in advance and sorry for the rather cryptic description, I'll try my best to add new information as best I can.

Is the ring piece torn quite badly?

Perhaps you could call REL Acoustics and ask for a new ring piece, they might have a few old ring pieces lying about they could help you out with?

You should also ask them for some new screws too so that you can get your new ring piece fitted nice and tightly and ensure there is no unnecessary air leakage.

REL Acoustics have always been very helpful, you can give them a call on 01656 768 777.

I was torn, no pun intended, between being childish and being helpful. So I thought I'd do both. ;)

No worries, this is supposed to be a a fun and helpful environment so glad its both.

The ring is torn quite badly....just about in half...

I'll try to call Rel in the UK monday and ask their advice...otherwise I think I better upgrade :)
