    Sorry another one !

I have an REL Q200 that i've played around with for a while and think I can still improve things - but I need some help.

I have Mission 774's front (they go down to 45 hz) 77C centre and 77ds rears. A Rotel processor and power amp (small speaker setting cuts off at 80hz)

The REL Q200 sits in the right front corner of the room 50cm away from my front right Mission firing outwards but very close to a sofa- the REL is connected at hi and lo levels. The room is fairly small so the hi level volume is set to about half and the lo level about a third.

If I use the small speaker setting and '2' on the rel (which I think is 80hz)am I missing any of the range ?

I am looking for a tight thump and I seem to be getting a boom at the moment.

    Thanks in advance

Mode 2 on the REl is bypass the REL crossover on the low level input, thats the correct setting. You will not miss out on enything as the prosessor does the bass management.
The boom is probably because of the position of the sub, or the room itself. Try different positions.
The problem can be the crossover you use for the highlevel input, that should be at 45-50hz probably with your spaekers, but only if they are set to large, set to small there should not be any signal in that range so it will not matter.
One moore thing, if you don't use the spikes, you should try that.

Get some marble/granite slabs on it!!

You may think its a weird idea but try it, certainly improved my Q200 performance.

    The heavier the better.
