Can anybody tell me the correct setting for a subwoofer on the Pioneer Ax5i-G?
I have an REL Q150E Mk II connected on high & low settings.
When doing the automatic speaker callibration the subwoofer is set at -10db.
The other speakers are set at 10db.

I have manually set the sub at 5db with the volume control on the sub at about 1/4. This gives me the best sound when watching movies. Should I be setting this higher? or should i put it back to -10db and crank up the sub volume?

    any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Does the Pioneer allow you to choose between Large or Small main speakers, or to select the cut-off point for the mains?

    Yes it does.
The speakers are all set to SMALL. and the amp was automatically callibrated so I can manually adjust the crossover points.

Have you tried disconnecting the speakers and just listen to the sub with music and movies? You may be surprised at what the sub outputs on its own.

I have a REL Quake with my TAG gear and to set the sub I used an SPL meter as I haven't yet upgraded to the DP version with the room correction software.

I also scrolled through the various sound options starting with straight 2 channel and made adjuestments till I thought the sub sounded right
