Do these appear secondhand very often ? and what price would they typically go for. Not sure wether to wait, or get something else or buy new.

Does anyone know where you can get a deal on them, cheapest i've seen is £450.

Would it be better than the kef 30b?

    Thanks

I've never seen one second hand in this forum and in view of the number of problem 150s I would be very suspicious.

Why not have a look at the REL Q50 which you may feel is a step down but you could well be pleasantly surprised. Hifi Confidential are selling them for £299.

Second hand Q100 is also another good bet and these tend to go for £300 in top condition but are as rare as hen's teeth.

Bigger in size and very capable are the REL Storm and Strata range which are much more than your budget new but available second hand at reasonable prices

Thanks for your reply, i'm limited for space unfortunately other wise I would go for the Q50. Have they still not sorted the problems out with the rel?

have you thought of two paradigm pdr 10s or even four?. a real bargain @ £120.00 each small and quite potent when set up correctly-just a thought.

I think that if Brox had a problem fitting in a Q50 I don't see how he can cope with four Paradigms.

Have a look at the MJ Acoustics Pro 50 at £299. This has received five stars in What Hifi and another mag (forgotten which)

ian, the reference to four was a tongue in cheek price analogy, two would fit in and be a reasonable stop gap while waiting for s/h q50s or similar. the 10s would always sell later and was only a suggestion, ken;)
