    Hi guys,
I have a Rel Q100E and am considering the purchase of a Velodyne Deco sub (which I have heard is the same spec as the SPL 800 sub in a different cabinet). Would this be an upgrade. I have heard that it is a really good one, but still I thought I would ask some of you knowledgeable guys here.

    What's your opinion?

I used to have the REL Q100e but it was running out of power, so I upgraded to a Velodyne CHT15 (300 watt amplifier) and i'm very pleased with it. Don't know anything about the Deco sub though.
I suppose it depends how hard you will be running the sub, because if (like me) you play your films quite loud I don't think the REL will be good enough.

My take on it would be that the Q100 will play deeper whilst the Deco would play cleaner but not go so deep. All depends upon what you want really - I wouldn't necessarily see the Deco as an upgrade.

I have a Deco sub & I'm very pleased with it. (killed my old MJ pro 50 for bass output) Don't think it would be suited in a large room though.....
