rel Q100E...do i use a splitter?

    this has probably been covered before but i will try just in case it hasnt. im using a relQ100E, as my subwoofer[ i know its ancient blah blah] with a yamaha A2[ blah blah] when i bought it [rel] i was supplied with one 10 metre high grade cable to connect the rel to the amp...thing is i was told to get a splitter cable to connect to the red/ white audio connectors on the rel. im using this method now...but will i get any better results just using the one audioconnection on the rel[ i think its red?] i know the yammy a2 doesnt have a dual sub feature where i think the yammy a1 does...my speakers are mission 773e,s. any advice guys :confused:
