Rel Stampede or Quad L-sub for music?
I audition a Rel Strata 5 and Quad L, I went for the Quad. It had the qualities of the Rel but just a bit more. Very musical is how I would describe it and a build quality second to none
i have a rel storm 5 (still setting it up) and have to say a quad l is gonna stomp all over a stampede. Not so sure about the later models though maybe listen an see what you prefer.
What do you mean?
He means the Quad is better than a Rel Stampede?
I am afraid that people often forget that whilst this forum is UK based hundreds of it's members are not and English is not everybody's first language.
"Gonna" isn't proper English but slang for "going to"
"stomp" literally means to "tread violently upon"
"stampede" literally means "a sudden frenzied rush of panic-stricken animals."
I can see why you were confused as a literal translation would mean that the Quad subwoofer would tread violently on a rush of panicking horses.
sorry i'll try again.
The rel "stampede" and quad l are in different price and performance brackets. Comparing the 2 IMO shows the quad to be more capable. Maybe the quad against a "strata 5" (like streetrod did) would be a better comparison.
However...the "stampede" may be enough for your needs so a demo is always the best way to decide.
my appologies for my lack of proper grammer i didn't mean to cause a bit of a two an eight
