Reinstalling xp on samsung nc10

Standard Member
Hello all,

I'd like to reinstall XP on my NC10. I have the system recovery cd which was provided in the box when I bought it.

Since the NC10 doesn't have a cd or dvd drive I have connected another pc through my router to use the dvd drive from it.

I am able to see the dvd drive of the other laptop from my network connections, as I have shared it but I can't boot from the drive. How will I do it?

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

What you're trying to do is nigh on impossible, you need to either borrow/buy an external CD-ROM drive (easiest methid) or transfer the install disk to a USB stick. There are many guides on the net on how to do the latter. Just google Netbook Windows USB install (or similar).

Thx again for your assistance.

From what I understood you can't use BIOS and network to install OS.

I'll try to install the cd to my usb stick.
