Reinstalling an MS PC game - uninstall shouldn't delete score/level/record?

Sorry for the newbie question but an elderly relative who does Microsoft puzzles etc on PC asked for help and I don't game.
They want to reinstall MS Jigsaw to see if it resolves some issues. They just want reassuring the uninstall won't wipe their attainment level and earned access from years playing it.

I would expect that all reappears as soon as you reinstall and login to your account (called 'Xbox', though she's never touched a console.)

Anyone confirm?

it does have cloud saves, so its possible it will retain the progress when you reinstall it.
