    hi,

i am upgrading my motherboard, ram, processor and graphics card, so basically im just attaching my drives to a new system. Since the install of MCE is registered to that hardware, will i have to reinstall and reauthorise with such a big hardware change? I'm assuming that my current install will blue screen with the different motherboard. I'm thinking that a fresh install is never a bad thing to do but didn't know if there was a quicker option without reinstalling everything. cheers

yes and yes, fresh install is the better option with such big hardware changes...less problematic as well (fingers crossed)

    Thanks Curly,

I plugged everything in just to see if it would work and it did indeed boot. Just needed to re-authorise Windows but it seems okay. If i get any issues i will reinstall but for the moment i will go for the quick option!
