There is some confusion with this one as it has been known to play all Regions without a hack.

What i did with mine was.......

    Open tray and leave open

Press set up menu and punch in 1389

This opens up the technical page but from here nobody knows how to unlock the Region 2 status.

I then turned off the set, turned on again and went to set up menu, select preference and choose NTSC

and now my player plays all Regions, i have no idea if the 1389 route is key, it may well be that you only have to set preference to NTSC anyway !

    Good luck.

Hi, I tried using your hack and it seem to almost work but not quite. I was wondering if you had anymore info on how to unlock region 1 for it. Thanks.

    :thumbsdow

    Doesn't work for me with:

    Version 0C.00.02.00
    SUB-VER 08.08.07.01
    8032 0C.00.02.00
    Servo 05.04.F2.00
    RISC 0C.00.02.00
    DSP 12.09.00.16
    Region Code 2

Setting the output to NTSC makes no difference. Region 1 discs still barf with "Wrong region"

If this does work for you, can you please post your version (eject, setup, 1389)
