I don't know if this is the right forum but I've done a search and can't find any answers to this question.Whenever I play a different region dvd on my pc, I'm only allowed so many goes. I've now only got 3 more times I can play different regions then presumably it will be locked on whatever the last one played was set on. I would like to know if possible how to make it multiregion all the time if this is possible. The model No: is SONYDVD-ROM DDU1613 if that's any good to anyone. :lease:

A second vote for AnyDVD, top program!

    http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

I believe there is a free alternative, as well as an equally good competitor whose names escape me right now.

That's the one. Didn't work properly for me, but I know other happy users.

You could also have a look here, and download LtnRPC to reset or disable the counter on your Sony (Liteon manufactured) drive.

Built a new PC but its not as quiet as I had hoped.

The mail culprit is the CPU fan which is the std fan supplied with the Intel Pentium 4 "LGA775 64-Bit Prescott" 3.4F

So does anyone have a good idea. The computer is not a games PC and the main work is video editing and surfing

I think this thread is posted long time back. I was searching similar but it seems to be no longer free. I trying to read a region 1 DVD using AnyDVD on a DVD rom whose region has been set to 2. It is not working and it is reporting a mismatch of the DVD region code and that of the drive. it asked to change the region code for the drive. Otherwise it would not read. I did not understand what happened. Is there any solution to make a full version of AnyDVD. I also tried using DVD43 but it also did not work and asked to chane the drive of the region.

    AnyDVD has never been free.

The latest version works perfectly with everything I've thrown at it.

    Cheers
