    Hi everyone,

I read something in a magazine a couple of days ago which I'd never thought about previously.

Are there any differences between R1 discs from the USA and Canada, besides the Canadian versions having a French soundtrack/subtitles maybe?

I'm after the CE versions of Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown and according to "Rewind", R1 is the best to go for. My usual R1 suppliers are AB Sound and DVD Boxoffice - both Canadian.

If there is indeed a difference and the USA R1 is the best to go for what American suppliers, besides Play who I believe source their R1s form Canada, would you recommend?

    Thanks

Don't forget French writing on the covers.

Sometimes there are differences in the content of R1 Canadian vs R1 US and frequently there are differences in the cases (not just French text but also different style and colours of cases) due to differences in distributors.

Sometimes, the R1 Canadian is the only one to go for, e.g. the R1 Canadian of Good Will Hunting is the only one which is anamorphic.

Differences in content will usually be reported at www.dvdcompare.org.uk

Try CD-WOW.com for R1 Canadian as well... can be cheaper than A&B Sound for some titles and you'll receive the DVDs a little faster.
