I see that in the pal(actually the icelandic one) version of lord of the rings there is missing a national geographic thing.. is there ANY other difference?? It sais that the dvd is dts es discrete and all that.. but it has more subtitles and languages than the us versions doesn´t it... how does it do that... is the bitrate less??

And it also sais that it is prestented in a "letterboxed" version enhanced for 16x9 TV´s... is that not anamorphic?

I'd guess it's anamorphic (enhanced for 16:9 tvs normally suggests this).
