    OK, is something wrong here?

They're selling a multiregion Pioneer 444 at a shop, it covers region 1-6. It doesn't do 7 (not used) or 8 (international). I asked about region 0 (glbal) since in the UK the music DVDs we buy are region 0. The guy at the shop says that the region 1-6 player doesn't play region 0 disks. Is that right?

Soneone will either come on and confirm this or tell you the right answer. :)

As far as I'm aware R0 is region free and can be played on any DVD player no matter what region it is set up for.

    100% correct Alan.

Region 0 is basically region free and can be played on any machine.
