I know of several types of region zero DVDs.

    1) Some DVDs are region free, I have one called "I'm your man" that allows the viewer to change the story as the film runs, some music stuff is region free as well. No difference in quality compared with encoded stuff.

    2) Porno DVDs are normally region free, quality depends on the equipment used, but again quality OK. Normally 4:3 ratio so somestuff on a widescreen looks really scary.

    3) Pirate DVDs, I looked at one disc at a computerfair and even the dealer/pirate admitted the quality was very bad. Avoid and wait for the official release.

    Hey Fartpants,
Thanks for the info....Have already bid in an auction to try out a region 0 version of MISS CONGENIALITY...Sandra Bullock...which is why I asked the question..Hopefully it will be o.k. but I will take your advice in future and wait for the official release date.

    Thanks again for the reply
