Refurb Macbook With Dead Pixels, What Will Apple Do?

My girlfriend bought a refurb macbook about 4 months ago from Apples online refurb store and today, after she changed her background to a white one, she noticed it has more than 60!!!!! dead pixels!

I have arranged a appointment with a 'Genius' for tomorrow, but I'm curious what they will do? Will the machine have to be sent away, if it is will the same machine come back with just a new LCD? Will they even replace the whole laptop?

Thanks

Possibly all of the above but only Apple can tell you any speculation here is just that speculation & you have already covered most of the options. The bottom line is that they will fix it under warranty but how that is accomplished is up to Apple.

depends on where you take it

if you go to one of the big stores like regent st or bluewater they'll fix it on site for you, takes a few days

they'll just replace the whole lid, not the machine.

smaller stores or franchises will send it away so back it all up !!!
