    would a fridge interfere with my tv if its too close (directly behind 4")

    Well a fridge has a motor (compressor) as well as possibly other ferrous materials.
    So I wouldn't be surprised to find purity errors evident in this case
    - watch out for areas of the screen tinted in red, magenta or other colours.
