i've just bought reefs album "rides" from my local super market at a discounted price of 2.50 because it didn't have a cover.

I was just about to slot it in my imac to rip it to my ipod when i noticed that it is a sony cd.

I know that sony are copy protecting alot of their cds and as there is no cover i don't know if this cd has copy protection or not, if it does and i put it in my imac it will kill it!

does anyone have this album and can anyone confirm either way whether or not it is copy protected.

    thanks
    dave

Looking on the net, it was released in 1999 and I don't think the Sony protection that'll wreck your Mac came into being until about 2001, so you should be safe.

You may find that placing the disc in your Imac may cause all sorts of problems simply because it's REEF!;)
    Even @ £2.50 i could not be tempted...

I'm not the biggest Reef fan but they did one song called "In my Place" which was absolutely brilliant, I'd buy the album with that on if I knew which one it was. I predict SG wil have all the albums ands therefore know the answer. Tell us bud.:D

I do have all their albums  :D

It's called "Back in my place" and is on the Rides album, which has mucho other great tracks mate :smashin:

I'm shocked you're not a bigger fan mate. Surely their Replenish debut would've got you excited with the heavy bass lines

You'd think I would be. I dunno, I just never got round to buying any albums but I might have to order Rides just for that track as it was somewhat wicked.
