I have had my Proac Response 2.5 speakers for around 10 years now, I built them more or less as close to the originals as possible but used upgraded crossover components air inductors, Solen caps, but having a trip around the Bristol show I decided it was time to modernise the enclosures Wilson Benesch and other manufacturers had some lovely curved speaker cabinets. My originals, the new cabs have templates bracing the cab and at the moment I am adding layers of 3mm MDF which I can bend around the templates. I plan to finish the back and sides with a black lacquer finish then on Thursday I'm off to Cornish Hardwoods to pick a nice 1" x 4ft x 8" piece of yew or chestnut for the speaker baffles

Been a busy bee with work but have finally got round to doing some more work on my speakers. I went to a hardwood specialist and got lovely piece of Yew which my carpenter friend Jonathan cut to size for me in the process of glueing one of the baffles at the moment I don't have enough clamps to do them both together hope to get the drive units in over the weekend

Nice work, bet these will look great once finished!

Finally have these all finished now, very pleased with the sound the bass goes deeper and islovely and tight as expected the cabinets although narrower are deeper and taller and the midrange seems clearer as well with better imaging
