So, yet another relaunch for the ultimate fraternal backstabber today - how long has he got ?

I'll be generous and give him 18 months before he gets his marching orders; probably to be replaced by Darling (if they are serious about the next election), or Ed Balls (if they aren't).

Balls will orchestrate a coup to replace him with his wife, who will lose to Darling or Milliband Snr

I see the 'relaunch' involves Labour claiming they would now cut deeper than the Tories

Guess they are admitting the Conservatives were right all along then...

No-one seriously thought the crap they've been spouting for the last 18 months was credible, surely?

Surely the worst opposition since IDS or Kinnock.

Ed has clearly been watching videos of Tony Blair for inspiration, as he's picked up his mannerisms and even the same embarrassing 'man of the people' glottal stop.

Both brothers are weird. Brought up in a marxist household, Oxbridge educated, never had a real job outside of politics, they are far more elitist and detached from reality than any Conservative politician.

Really? You could also be talking about Cameron, Osborne and Clegg
(and I don't count a short stint as a spin doctor for Carlton as a real job ;))

Errr...you ignored the bit about being brought up in a marxist household. That kinda blows a hole in your comparison

^^^ yeah, like the others (including two Bullingdon Club members) had a fairly typical upbringing
    - makes that hole in my comparison kinda small

Just saying most of them, of all flavours, are rather elitist and detached from reality.

I cringed (even more) when I heard him use this phrase

Miliband tells Cameron: 'Bring it on'

I remember Ming Campbell using it shortly before [-]being ousted[/-] resigning as LD leader

oh really , like what? the only thing it says is that i am a diehard Labour party supporter who would never in a million years vote for the Tories a party i despise almost as much as any fascist one.Ed may not have the presence of the idiot, and quite possibly does not have leadership credentials, but thats only because he just does not come across well on TV.He would still make a very able minister IMO.Certainly has the brains thats for sure

Exactly that - you don't make any common sense judgement about a particular policy - as far as you're concerned if it is Tory it is bad, Labour it is good.

This has been highlighted recently with you continuing to try and defend the indefensible as far as Diane Abott is concerned.

Most of us on here use common sense and judgement to assess the rights and wrongs of any proposals, rather than look to the rosette being worn and simply apply illogical prejudices....
