Anyone know when Series 7 and 8 of Red Dwarf are due to be released?

Will it be like the rest of the series, i.e. release dates in Oct/Nov and Feb/Mar?

Also any news on, dare I say it, the Red Dwarf movie??

Yes Dwarf series 7 and 8 will be out Nov 2005 then in Feb 2006. As for the movie, there are various views that 2006 will be the year and filming will be in Australia.... we will have to wait and see tho

    Thanks for that.
Guess I'll just watch them on video for the time being.
Waiting for the movie is like the gap between series 6 and 7. Four years wasn't it? Hopefully the movie won't be as much of a let down as series 7.

Would still rather see a series 9 than a film tho. Cant imagine how they would make a film, without canned laughter an all, if you have seen the s7 special editions without laughter you will know what i mean, just didnt feel right. :(

I think series 5 had the perfect mix of special effects and 'real effects'.
For example, Back To Reality, driving the car while sitting on packing crates.
If they could get that level of tackiness, combined with both Grant and Naylor working together on the script, the movie would be great.
But yeah, a series 9 would be cool.

Might be a little biased as series 5 was the first I ever saw.
