Rectangle room layout

I'm planning to put together a cinema room and the question I have is the layout in a rectangular shape room.

Should the TV be on the longer length wall or the shorter length wall in terms of better sound?

It's for a 7.1.2 set up (with plan to move to 7.2.2) and we will keep a good gap between the rear wall and sofa.

Shorter wall for the TV unless having the speakers needing to be pushed tight into a corner. A diagram of the room with dimensions would paint a better picture.

Yep, TV on the shorter wall.

A diagram will help with position of seating, speakers etc too, but even just room dimensions would do for clarifying that's it's better to have it on the shorter wall.
