Recovering from a floppy disk

    Hi has anyone got any good ideas on how to recover a word file from a floppy disk. Im trying Wordfix now but its not looking to promising.

    Any ideas?

    Have you tried running scandisk on the floppy disk?

    I remember reading this thread some time ago and now I have a student with a similar problem. I have run chkdsk and can see that ther are 6 files on the disk but after running chkdsk how can I access these files

    I keep telling people "Never trust a floppy disk" but they won't be told

    the old dos command diskcopy may sometimes be able to recover data from damaged floppy discs
