I've read in various threads that Pannys can record in either PAL or NTSC. I have a JVC DR-M10, does anyone know if this can record in NTSC and how to do it.

    Cheers

Looking at the manual for your JVC there is no mention of it recording NTSC.

The recorders which do (Panasonic, Pioneer) only record NTSC if you give it a NTSC source. So, you would have to have for example a NTSC VHS machine, playing a NTSC tape.

Per your other posts, these machines won't convert a UK PAL video to NTSC.

Yeah the manual didn't mention it, thought it might be some sneeky little thing they didn't like to talk about.

Re the other posts; I ran it thru' the PC and it worked a treat. Was just hoping the guys at JVC had made my life a little easier without telling me about it.

    Cheers for responding m8.
