Recording to HDD while watching HDD/DVD

    Hi everyone - newbie alert :)

    I've been following these forum pages for a while now and I must say that there is some great information on here and everyone is very helpful :smashin:

    I think I've made my decision on my purchase - almost certainly the Panasonic DMR-EH50.

    But I have couple of general questions. I think they are quite easy, but have not seen them asked before:

    I realise that most of these machines have chasing playback. My question is though, is it possible to watch a recording on the HDD while recording a completely separate program on the HDD.

    Also, can you watch a DVD while recording onto the HDD (or visa verca).

    I have an E85 and it's yes to both of your questions.

    In fact that has to be one of the best features of DVD RAM and HDD recorders :thumbsup:
