I have looked for an answer to this question on the site but I can't find a definitive answer.
I am beginning to spec out my HCPC and would appreciate some help from those who have already done this!
I have a lot of films on video which I would like to put onto the PC - can I do this? If so,
    what software would I need,
what would the quality be like
how much disk space would I need?

You could try a TV card that comes with PVR (personal video recorder) software, I think they're about £100-150.
