What is the recording speed of the Panasonic HS2? The reason I ask is for purchasing DVD-R media. As 1x and 2x media is cheaper am I wasting my time buying 4x media or is it a case of what media is compatible?

Isn't there a fast copy option which records from the HDD to DVD-RAM at 2x?

Yes there is high speed dubbing from HDD to DVD-Ram and vice versa.

However it was the recording speed to DVD-R that I wanted to know with respect to buying DVD-R media. I didn't see much point in buying the more expensive 4x media unless it's a compatability issue.
