Bit of a newbie on here, but looking to transfer Sky+ images to PC to edit using Premiere Pro and then to log them for archiving.

Could go the long route of DVD or VHS recording and then capture, but surely there must be an easier way.......any help greatly appreciated.:lease:

Hello - whatever you do it has to be an analogue transfer I'm afraid, there is no way to copy the sky+ content digitally.

If you are looking to edit I would suggest the best way is to use decent video capture hardware in the editing PC - if that is practical. This will allow you to transfer uncompressed, edit and them master to your preferred format.

Editing mpeg is frowned on my many, so a "lossless" capture to avi for editing in premiere may be the best bet.

there is a wealth of information for these tasks and recommended hardware at
