Hello folks! My son has collected various music files in mp3 and wma format on our laptop. This has been fine but now it's reached 2 gb! I want to burn all this to DVD so that we can wipe them from the hard drive and he will still be able to put the disc in when using the computer and play everything as normal on Windows Media Player. Can this be done? I have Nero 6. Any help would be appreciated!

I have a similar problem but want to play music on the TV DVD player. Is there any advantage in copying to DVD, ie can you get more music on the disc in this format or just stick to MP3.

    Hi
if your dvd player plays MP3s then you should have no problem. Recording mp3 onto a cd will give you approx 700mb of storage space while a dvd will give you 4.7 gb

I'd check the manual though - some DVD players will only play MP3's from CD's. Worth checking first :)

Most dvd's I've seen will only play mp3's from a cd, I think they parbably can't handle the file subsytem for the many files or something. You could get a very large number of mp3's on an DVD, at 3mb each thats about 1.5 thousand.

Can you record .wav files to a DVD-R to play on a DVD player at a party? and if so would I be right in guessing it would last around 4-5 hours?
