This is starting to bug me now, when recording from terrestrial tv that comes down the cable but bypasses the Pace box recordings are in Stereo/DPL. When recording off of any Digital channel the recordings are in mono.

Pre recorded videos are in DPL as is watching digital directly.

The Scart Out from the pace box is going to the Scart "Cable TV in" on the VCR and the Scart Out goes to Scart AV2 (composite) on the TV.

    So why mono recordings?

On the back of the pace digibox you should have two scarts one labeled TV and the other VCR..........make sure it's connected TV > TV and VCR > VCR when you record from digital make sure you select the AV on your VCR..normally AV2, as AV1 is the connection to the TV, if you are selecting the RF channel number you will only get mono.

That'll be it, I'm selecting the RF channel rather than the appropriate AV channel.

    Thanks for the help Bob
