My setup is as follows:- Goodmans Analogue TV - VCR - DVD player - Freeview Box. All systems work OK through a 3 way scart control box. This is possibly a silly question, but is it possible to record Freeview channels to VCR ?

Not a silly question..........if you have a scart lead from the freeview box to the vcr set the vcr to it's "AV" or "EXT" input and you can then record whatever channel the freeview box is on.

Does your Freeview box have 1 or 2 scart sockets?

If only 1 then conect the FV box to VCR and then VCR (assuming this has 2 scart sockets) to TV or switch box.
If 2 then connect TV scart to TV/switch box and the other scart (normally labelled as VCR) to the VCR.

To record you need to set the VCR to record via the AV (ie scart) input. If you have 2 scarts sockets on the VCR then you need to make sure you select the correct one.

    Mark.
